OVERVIEWWhat we built

A digital experience shaped around the actual business.

Synistar rebuilt the Lex Majestic Theatre website around what moviegoers and theatre staff actually need. Visitors can quickly understand what is playing, when it starts, how to buy tickets, what to expect at the theatre, and how to volunteer, while staff can manage changing movie and showtime content without editing page layouts.

THE EXPERIENCE

Designed to feel like Lex Majestic Theatre, not like Synistar.

The case study adopts the project palette and lets the client's visual language progressively take over the interface.

01

Business first.

The layout and customer paths are organized around what this client actually needs people to understand and do.

02

Brand in context.

The surrounding case study changes with the client palette so screenshots are not trapped inside generic portfolio chrome.

03

No invented results.

The story stays grounded in the approved project goal, direction, deliverables, and supported outcome.

APPROACH

Challenge. Approach. Outcome.

Every Synistar case study follows the same structure: what the client needed, what Synistar changed, and what the project can responsibly claim today.

01
CHALLENGE

Challenge

The previous experience scattered moviegoing information across static pages and manual updates. Ticket purchasing needed stronger visibility, visitor-planning information needed one clear home, volunteer participation needed a more direct pathway, and recurring movie/showtime updates needed to stop depending on page-by-page editing.

02
SYNISTAR APPROACH

Synistar Approach

Synistar created a focused theatre journey with Movies, Plan Your Visit, Volunteer, Our Story, Contact, and a persistent Buy Tickets action. Behind it, a purpose-specific PHP/MySQL admin manages movies, individual showtimes, sponsors, website messages, theatre settings, and automatic archiving of past movies.

03
OUTCOME

Outcome

The current build is development-complete and structurally launch-ready. It combines a custom public experience, theatre-specific CMS, Veezi ticketing integration, volunteer conversion, accessibility-minded content, local SEO structure, and an operational split where theatre staff manage routine content while Synistar handles technical infrastructure.

EXPERIENCE

UX & Conversion

The redesigned journey prioritizes current movies, visible showtimes, persistent Buy Tickets access, and one Plan Your Visit destination for pricing, seating, doors, accessibility, concessions, location, policies, and FAQs. Volunteer, sponsorship, advertising, and general contact actions are separated by intent instead of competing in one generic path.

OPERATIONS

Technical & Operations

A purpose-specific PHP/MySQL admin lets theatre staff add and edit movies, posters, ratings, runtimes, trailers, ticket links, sponsors, dates, and showtimes; manage sponsor records; review website messages; update theatre settings; and automatically archive past movies. One movie record can populate multiple visitor touchpoints.

SEARCH

SEO & Accessibility

The production foundation includes Lexington-focused page metadata, canonical URLs, dynamic sitemap logic, and structured data for MovieTheater, Organization, WebSite, WebPage, Movie, ScreeningEvent, and FAQ contexts where applicable. Accessibility work includes descriptive alt text, semantic headings, skip navigation, descriptive links, responsive navigation, wheelchair seating information, and hearing-loop information.

STATUS

Status & Next Steps

For case-study purposes, the build is development-complete and launch-ready subject to Synistar’s normal gates: client approval, business/payment finalization, production backup and mobile/form/link/admin checks, DNS/SSL launch, sitemap and robots validation, Search Console verification, and post-launch performance review after real traffic accumulates.

BRAND LENS

The project changes the room around it.

This case study is using Majestic Olive as its visual system. The CMS can override background, surfaces, accents, and text per project without changing template code. Synistar remains the frame; the client becomes the atmosphere.
